Biodex Balance Training
Learn your areas of weakness in regards to balance. The fitness staff will use this tool to create a personalized program to improve balance deficits and decrease the risk of falling. Weekly practice sessions may be scheduled and last between 5 and 10 minutes. Appointment required.

Please note that Biodex balance training is not for everyone. Fitness staff reserve the right to suggest alternative exercises if they feel it it unsafe for an individual to use the Biodex machine.

The platform provides specific measurements for foot placement and can remain locked in a flat position or the surface may be titled to increase difficulty.

The Biodex has two separate modules, one for training and another to perform testing such as fall risk and postural stability.

Improve proprioception and balance by following an organized movement pattern.

Improve movement patterns by moving forward/backward, side-to-side, or diagonaly while staying within the lines.

Learn where your body naturally leans. Adjust posture and stance accordingly until you are equally balanced.

Improve your motor control and vesibular balance system by following a moving circle that randomly changes direction.

Address movement patterns with a video game.
